About The Rolf Method...
Many have heard about this 10-series approach as life changing. It is true! We tire of the limitations we may carry and ask for help. Whether they be physical, emotional or spiritual, limitation is bothersome from the instant we notice it until finally it becomes intollerable. No matter how long a pattern of limitation has been in place, the Rolf Method can potentially reverse it entirely.
We are basically structural engineers for the human being. We observe how a body aligns in the field of gravity, assess which relationships are holding adverse patterns in the flesh, and address those patterns to restore balance and order, function and freedom. We work from the foundation to the roof; from the feet to the head, lining things up so they work properly. Sometimes there is a moment of discomfort before the freedom of movement is restored.
A veteran body worker, especially one who loves her work, knows exactly when she can encourage a moment of challenge for her client. She holds no agenda about this, but merely recognizes when the client is feeling some bit of discomfort. She pauses to ask if this is the time and place for deepening. She follows the client's lead, never pushing, only inviting.
Structural Integration is a means to get the body in the shape it was designed to operate and thrive in. Insults, injuries, imprints all lead to mis-shapen structures. Each Rolf session is an inquiry. We discover where limitation has occurred, how it effected the whole, and how we can reclaim that which was lost in time and memory.
It is a process unique to the individual who is interested in recapturing the youthful movement and energy once realized and perhaps lost for a moment. Anything...literally anything is possible, depending on the level of willingness the client brings. And we celebrate that!
